Subconscious Mind Specialist | Integrative Hypnotherapist | Educator | Speaker |
Founder of Maja Healing & HHHypnosis®

For more than a decade, I have worked as a Subconscious Mind Specialist, Integrative Hypnotherapist, educator, and founder of Maja Healing and HHHypnosis®.

My work focuses on helping entrepreneurs, executives, leaders, athletes, mothers, fathers, and other high-performing individuals understand and resolve the subconscious patterns influencing their wellbeing, relationships, performance, and quality of life.

Drawing on psychology, trauma-informed practice, human behaviour, and the subconscious mind, I developed the Holistic Healing Hypnosis (HHH) Methodology—a proprietary, integrative approach that is thoughtfully tailored to every individual. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, my work seeks to understand and address the deeper patterns, beliefs, emotional experiences, and conditioning that shape how we think, feel, behave, and experience life.

Over the years, one belief has continued to strengthen.

Every person has an innate capacity for wellbeing, resilience, and growth. No matter what someone has experienced, I do not believe they are defined by their past or limited by the patterns they have developed to navigate it. Rather, I believe those patterns can be understood, transformed, and, when no longer needed, gently released.

For me, this work is not about becoming someone different. It is about helping people reconnect with the clarity, peace, and potential that already exist within them.  That is why I believe inner work is one of the most meaningful commitments we can make - for ourselves, our relationships, and the life we choose to create.

Why This Work Matters

Most of us spend years learning how to build careers, raise families, solve problems, and navigate the world around us. Yet very few of us are ever taught how our own mind works.  And for many people, knowledge, insight, and practical skills are enough. They help us grow, solve problems, and move forward. But there often comes a point where understanding something intellectually is no longer enough. We know what we should do, yet we continue reacting in the same ways, repeating familiar patterns, or feeling held back by something we cannot fully explain.

It is often at this point that we begin to discover the subconscious mind.

The subconscious influences far more of our lives than many people realize. It shapes our habits, emotional responses, beliefs, relationships, and behaviours, often outside of our conscious awareness. By understanding these deeper patterns, we gain the opportunity to create change that is not driven by greater effort alone, but by greater self-understanding.

For me, this work is not about finding what is wrong with someone. It is about helping people understand themselves more deeply, release patterns that are no longer serving them, and reconnect with the freedom, wellbeing, and potential that have always been available to them.

My Philosophy

I believe every person has an innate capacity for wellbeing, growth, and resilience. Throughout life, we naturally develop patterns that help us adapt to our experiences. Many of these patterns serve us well, while others continue long after they are no longer needed.

Over time, I have come to believe that lasting change rarely comes from trying harder alone. There often comes a point where greater knowledge, insight, and willpower are no longer enough. We know what we should do, yet we continue thinking, feeling, or responding in familiar ways.

Rather than asking, "What's wrong with me?", I believe a more helpful question is, "Why does this pattern exist?"

When we begin to understand ourselves in this way, we move beyond simply managing symptoms. We gain greater awareness, greater choice, and ultimately greater freedom - to respond differently, to build healthier relationships, and to live with more clarity, peace, and authenticity.

That is why I believe understanding ourselves is one of the most worthwhile investments we can make. Not because we are broken, but because understanding ourselves gives us the freedom to become less limited by the patterns that once shaped us.

What This Work Has Taught Me

What we believe about ourselves is often not the whole story.
One of the greatest privileges of this work has been witnessing people discover strengths, capabilities, and ways of being they never believed were possible. Time and again, I have seen individuals move beyond identities shaped by past experiences and realise that much of their potential was never absent - it had simply not yet been accessed.

We understand far less about our own minds than we think.
Many of us are taught how to succeed, solve problems, and care for others, yet very few of us are ever taught how the subconscious mind influences our thoughts, emotions, behaviours, relationships, and decisions. Understanding how the mind works can change the way we understand ourselves.

While every individual is unique, the human mind shares remarkable similarities.
Culture, language, age, gender, personality, and life experience all shape who we are and deserve to be respected. Yet beneath these differences, I continue to be struck by how consistently the subconscious mind follows many of the same underlying patterns and principles.

The therapeutic relationship is often more important than the technique.
While knowledge, methodology, and experience are all essential, I have found that meaningful change is often shaped just as much by the quality of the therapeutic relationship. Feeling safe, understood, respected, and genuinely heard creates the foundation upon which deeper work can take place.

Professional Background

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of British Columbia and am a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist (CCTSI). Over the years, I have also undertaken extensive postgraduate training in hypnotherapy, trauma, psychotherapy, and complementary healing approaches, allowing me to draw from an integrative range of perspectives when working with clients.

Since beginning my professional practice in 2014, I have worked with more than 1,500 individuals from around the world, many of whom are navigating significant responsibility, complex life experiences, or a desire for lasting change beyond what knowledge and willpower alone have been able to provide.

As my clinical experience evolved, so too did my approach. Over the years, my work led to the development of the Holistic Healing Hypnosis (HHH) Methodology—a proprietary, integrative framework that brings together psychology, trauma-informed practice, hypnotherapy, and complementary healing approaches to support the whole person rather than focusing solely on symptoms.

In 2017, I founded Maja Healing in Bali with the vision of creating an integrative centre where both clients and practitioners could be supported through thoughtful, evidence-informed, and person-centred care.

Alongside my clinical practice, I continue to refine the HHH Methodology while teaching, mentoring, and supervising future hypnotherapists through HHHypnosis®. I also deliver workshops, keynote presentations, and professional education on the subconscious mind, human behaviour, leadership, and wellbeing.

Having lived in the United States, Kenya, Japan, Indonesia, and Canada, I have had the privilege of experiencing different cultures, belief systems, and ways of life. These experiences continue to shape the way I listen, think, and work. They have reinforced my belief that while every individual deserves to be understood within the context of their own life, the human mind often follows remarkably similar patterns across cultures, professions, and backgrounds.

More than a decade into this work, I remain as curious about the human mind as I was when I first began. Every client continues to remind me that while no two lives are the same, the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change remains remarkably consistent.

Beyond The Therapy Room

In addition to my private practice, I collaborate with healthcare professionals, teach future practitioners, mentor therapists, consult with organisations, and speak internationally on the subconscious mind, human behaviour, leadership, and wellbeing.

Whether I am working with one individual, a leadership team, or a room of several hundred people, my hope remains the same:

To help people better understand themselves, create meaningful change, and experience a greater quality of life.

Outside of work...

Outside of my work, I remain endlessly curious.

I have always been fascinated by people, cultures, history, perception, linguistics and the many different ways we make sense of the world. That curiosity led me to complete a second major in Central and Near Eastern Studies, and it continues to shape both my work and my life.

I enjoy travelling, scuba diving, thoughtful architecture, exceptional hospitality, and gastronomy. I find myself drawn to places, experiences, and conversations that reflect craftsmanship, intention, and a genuine appreciation for quality. I also enjoy lifelong learning, whether through professional training, reading, or exploring subjects that deepen my understanding of people and the human experience.

Most importantly, I feel deeply grateful for the people I share my life with. They bring a sense of security, depth, and grounding that I do not take for granted, and I value the trust, ease, and genuine connection that exists in those relationships.

Meditation has been part of my life for many years, and from time to time I step away to spend time in silence. It reminds me of the importance of slowing down, paying attention, and creating space for what truly matters.

The more I learn about people, the more I appreciate the complexity of being human. Perhaps that is why I continue to find this work so meaningful. It continually reminds me that growth is always possible, that understanding ourselves is worthwhile, and that a fulfilling life is built not only through what we achieve, but through the way we experience it.
